REFERRALS
Medicare
- Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP): this is a Medicare scheme that provides eligible clients with a rebate of approximately $87 per 50 minute session. Please discuss your needs with your GP or child’s paediatrician. Clients are eligible for up to a maximum of 10 partially funded sessions per calendar year. In the context of COVID19, the Government extended the number of available Medicare funded sessions to 20 in a calendar year.
- Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)/Chronic Disease Management (CDC): this is a Medicare scheme that provides eligible clients with a rebate of approx. $53 per 50 minute session. Please discuss your needs with your GP or child’s paediatrician. Clients are eligible for a maximum of 5 partially funded sessions per calendar year.
- Helping Children with Autism Initiative (HCWA): this is a Medicare scheme that provides eligible clients with a rebate of approximately $87 per 50 minute appointment. Please discuss your needs with your GP and your child’s Paediatrician. This Medicare item requires a referral from your child’s paediatrician. Eligible families have up to a maximum fo 4 partially funded sessions for assessment and 20, once in a lifetime, treatment sessions.
Private Health Insurance
Families may be eligible for Rebates (a portion of the total session fee) for those that have Private Health Insurance that includes cover for psychology. Please check with your provider to determine if you can claim a portion of the service fee through your Private Health Insurance. As with all of our services, we process the full payment on the day of service, then provide you with a paid invoice for you to claim with your provider. Skulls or Astronauts
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
CoolKid Psychology supports children with self managed or plan managed NDIS plans. Payment is required on the day of service after which we provide you with a paid invoice for your records or to forward to your plan manager for reimbursement.
Traffic Authority Commission (TAC)
CoolKid Psychology is registered with the TAC. As with all of our services, payment is required on the day and a paid invoice is supplied to the client for them to process the full fee reimbursement through TAC.
